About Viela
With an authentic Brazilian menu, crafted by those who’ve lived among Brazilian street culture, Viela offers a genuine Brazilian street food experience. Reasonably priced and all made from scratch, Viela’s menu provides a satisfying and affordable Brazilian cuisine experience.
Viela’s founders
Contramestre Joyce and Contramestre Mascote founded CDOB together as a way to bring Capoeira to Birmingham all the way from Brazil.
Since then, they’ve looked to expand what aspects of Brazilian culture they’re able to offer from their studio. To that end, in 2022 they founded Viela – a Brazilian street food experience in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Offering Brazilian cuisine in their cafe up front and teaching Capoeira in their studio in the back, Joyce and Mascote continue to strive to bring Brazilian cultures to their growing community.
